Posted by on Sep 21, 2010 in Kali | 0 comments

I’ve been beyond busy with school -I’m literally falling asleep as I write this. Today’s Nudey Tuesday will be super quick (hope you don’t mind.) I couldn’t stand the thought of not doing a Nudey Tuesday or doing it late so I grabbed the first 5 nude lipsticks I saw out of my makeup drawer. And the lucky winners are.. This is a preview of Nudey Tuesday: A Handful of Nude Lipsticks. Read the full post (447 words, 6 images, estimated 1:47 mins reading...

Carey in Couture

Just a quick post for those of you who may not have got your hands on the October issue of US Vogue and have therefore not seen the adorable editorial shot by Lindbergh and styled by Grace Coddington, featuring Carey Mulligan. I snapped it up as soon as I spotted it on the stands- because I am a big Carey fan- and it did not disappoint. Here are my favourite shots but I’d seriously suggest investing in a hard copy if you love her (and couture!) as much as I do. I try to avoid celebrity fandom when I can, and don’t feature many on the blog at all, but she is a genuinely talented actress- and it doesn’t hurt that she always chooses amazing dresses...

It’s hard to believe this bongo-fuelled groovefest is composed by the same guy who wrote the Lord of the Rings soundtracks. Couldn’t be more different. Howard Shore sure is fab.. Purple Kisses: Revlon ColorBurst Lipstick in Lilac Review, Swatches, Photos

Posted by on Sep 21, 2010 in Kali | 0 comments

Repurchase: Yes Price: $8.99 (0.13 oz) Product: 22/25 Packaging: 4.5/5 Value: 9/10 Overall Grade: B+ Since CVS was having a BOGO sale on Revlon last week, I picked up a Revlon ColorBurst Lipstick in Lilac along with the Peach I reviewed last week. The Packaging: Revlon ColorBurst Lipsticks are packaged in sleek matte black tubes with quilted detailing (reminiscent of Chanel.) I think they’re the prettiest drugstore lipstick tubes but I do have one gripe -why doesn’t the quilted design go all around the tube? It alternates from quilted to solid all around the tube (see above photo.) The lipstick name is located on the bottom and the top of the cap...
