Topshop shearling jacket, Your eyes lie tshirt, Comme des Garcons X H&M skirt, Topshop ankle boots

Even though it’s August I’m dressing for autumn already. A major factor is of course the disappointing, less than summery weather we have had recently. A bigger factor may be that I’m loving what the new season’s clothes are all about. For example, the aviator jacket! I wasn’t sure whether or not to jump on the shearling bandwagon, as it’s going to be such a big one- and if I was staying in the UK I don’t think I would have bought into it; I predict that people will be sick of the sight of anything shearling lined by the end of September! As I’m going to Canada in three weeks, and will be there until next May, hopefully I won’t look like such a trendwhore there.
Of course this is just a theory- I don’t have much idea of how people dress in Canada and as such am wary of making gross generalisations and major inaccuracies…I think I’m right in saying, however, that they don’t have the same concept of high street shopping as we do. So if people want to bag a shearling jacket, presumably they have to either shell out the megabucks for Burberry or Acne, or hunt for the vintage finds. Obviously online shopping means people can get hold of Topshop if they want, but there’ll be less mannequin clones than in the average UK city. Fingers crossed anyway!

(Also I like to think that I’m being insanely prepared by comparing this cosmic print to Christopher Kane’s resort 2011 collection, but I mean come on…)

As I said in the last post, it was my 21st yesterday! I ate far too much and drank far too much, but that seems to be what it’s about? I mostly got Canadian dollars from family, as anything people might give me could end up being left behind thanks to measly baggage limits! I did however, get some Issey Miyake perfume, which is so deliciously floral, without being too sweet. My dad also got me 2 books which have been on my reading list for some time now.
I’m going to start the first one immediately, and keep the second for in flight entertainment!
That’s all folks.
