Tuneful Tuesday

Blimey, what with deadline looming and reading my proofs tonight I nearly forgot about Tuneful Tuesday. Was playing The Dukes of Stratosphear – XTC’s psychedelic alter egos – in the car so have plumped by this smashing bit of nonsense from Psonic Psunspot (1986). The gag was that the band were an original 60s outfit but fell unconscious in their van, Rip Van Winkle like, after sucking too many acid-flavoured Spangles, and awoke in the 80s to once more ply their psychedelic trade. I was pleased to find this bnice clean copy of the video on YouTube: the previous one was ropey as hell.
