Vishnu Sahasranamam (1000 names of Lord Vishnu) is the most powerful stotram to be recited daily or atleast once a week particularly on Saturday. If chanted daily, no doubt it will bestow numerous benefits to the Sadhaka(one who recite). It can be recited as a stotra or Namavali (Namavali meaning each nama begin with Aum and end with Namaha). Vishnu Sahasranaamam was composed by Sri Veda Vyaasa, the author of Puraanas.
Vishnu Sahasranamam is a collection of powerful shlokas. Lord Shiva narrated Goddess Parvathi, the significance of chanting this powerful stotram.
Our Vedic Scholars have related these powerful shloka recital as a vedic and astro remedy for 27 birth stars (shlokas for each janma nakshatram) . Try to chant shlokas corresponding your janma nakshatra to a minimum count of 9 or 11 times daily. Many devotees have experienced positive changes in their lives within couple of weeks of recital. These shlokas are short, simple and easy to remember.
Shirdi Saibaba always encouraged his devotees to recite Vishnu Sahasranamam. Thus it became a tradition among Baba devotees to continue the recital of this powerful stotram.
