Dallas Street Fashion

Upon moving to Dallas, I had several people mention to me that this city has style. The fashion in Dallas, like anywhere really varies from neighborhood to neighborhood, but here in the heart of the big D (downtown and uptown) a lot of woman wearing the same trends are present and the street fashion is tremendous. Dallas girls dress up to go to the grocery store (and I sort of love that) so I thought I would share with you some “every day errands” ensembles you would find on girls around town. Hopefully this will inspire those with wardrobe blues and encourage us all to dress up on the daily (even if you are just running out for milk).

Above, Reese has the “Dallas daytime” look down perfectly. These downtown duds are great for staying cool and sexy while walking around the city. The key is mixing pieces that are simple on their own, but combined create a look that is more complex. Pair a demin jacket with a sundress and dress it up with studded heeled sandals. Accessorize with the popular aviator shades and straw fedora – signature trends of summer 2010.

For the second look it’s all about fit. Body hugging skinny jeans paired with a flowy silk tunic in a punchy summer color make a style statement without being over the top. Accessories with a supple leather bag and chain accessories. Take this look to night my switching to a clutch bag and heels from the previous look. Love it!
