When I started blogging, I was a proud resident of Austin, TX and I cannot tell you how happy it makes me to have lived their. Austin is the birthplace of everything hip and cool.I can easily say that Austin is my favorite city in the United States. Oh how I love that city, I could go on and on… but I think I will let these photos of some of my favorite local places (by Sea Of Shoes) speak for themselves.
The Hotel San Jose is located on South Congress in Austin – a hippie chic neighborhood that host the city’s most popular vintage shops and creative eateries. SoCo is where Austin “keep’s it weird”.
Feather’s Boutique in SoCo is by far my favorite vintage clothing store in the city. The chicks who run this place have a great eye for unique pieces and I always manage to find gorgeous gems when I shop here.
Last but not least, Uncommon Objects – the “go to” shop (also on SoCo) for vintage home decor, odd and ends. I can literally spend hours upon hours in this place just looking at all of the fabulous old things and I never leave without making a purchase from their “jewelry bar” at the front of the shop.
I think I am on the verge of planning a road trip! What is your favorite city for roadtrippin’?
